Cybersecurity Training- Expert (Monthly Subscription)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
At expert level, cybersecurity is a matter of design, governance and leadership. Attackers use AI-generated deepfakes, compromised suppliers and cloud-native weaknesses, while regulators expect management to be accountable and to prove compliance with evidence. The decisions made before an incident, about architecture, roles, playbooks, evidence and investment, determine how well an organization holds up when one happens.
Building on the Advanced course, this course moves from managing risk to leading the security program. It prepares security leaders, architects and senior managers to model threats, design zero trust and layered defenses, run incident response and forensic readiness, govern security against GDPR, NIS2 and ISO 27001, lead through a crisis and build a multi-year cybersecurity roadmap.
The course is developed by the CISO Edu team – the cybersecurity training platform of Advanced Vision IT. The company has 15 years of industry experience and is certified to ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 20000-1 standards. It is also an AWS Cloud Certified Partner and holds multiple certifications and partnerships with leading cybersecurity solution providers, including Sophos, Acronis, and other established technology companies. The content is developed by specialists who work daily with NIS2 compliance requirements, industrial control systems (ICS), and critical infrastructure environments.
What participants will learn
- ✓Model threats with STRIDE-style thinking, map attack surfaces and trust boundaries, and prioritize risks by likelihood, impact, exposure and detectability.
- ✓Apply zero trust principles through identity, segmentation, device trust and continuous verification, and avoid common implementation pitfalls.
- ✓Build incident response playbooks around the response lifecycle, assign roles in advance, run tabletop exercises and hold blameless lessons-learned reviews.
- ✓Prepare for forensic investigations: forensic readiness, evidence preservation, log sources, chain of custody, legal considerations and work with external investigators.
- ✓Review security architectures for common design flaws and cloud and hybrid risks, and apply identity-centric design and defense in depth.
- ✓Set up cybersecurity governance with a policy hierarchy, clear accountability, the three lines of defense and board oversight.
- ✓Understand GDPR security requirements, NIS2 obligations and the structure of ISO 27001, map controls to risks and prepare evidence for audits.
- ✓Lead executive decision-making in a crisis, meet legal and regulatory notification timelines and communicate with the media and stakeholders.
- ✓Design a cybersecurity roadmap from a maturity assessment and gap analysis, with prioritization, budget planning, KPIs and multi-year execution.
- ✓Assess emerging threats such as AI-enabled attacks, supply chain compromises and cloud-native threats, and use strategic forecasting.
